East West Link, Melbourne (2012 - 2013)

This project is the proposed underground road tunnel between Fitzroy and North Melbourne proposed by the Linking Melbourne Authority (LMA). Zivko undertook both surface wave seismic refraction and also downhole seismic investigations to obtain subsurface information for the preliminary design of the tunnel in extremely weathered mudstones through to high strength basalt. Martin undertook High Strength Pressure Meter investigations to provide strength and modulus parameters for the design of the tunnel.
